Precision Electrical & Air has successfully finalised the installation of dual air conditioning systems at a residential property in Tarragindi. This project included the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, alongside a Daikin high-wall split system situated in the downstairs living room.

Comprehensive Installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW Ducted Air Conditioning System
Precision Electrical & Air executed a thorough installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically positioned within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall, utilising rubber feet for enhanced stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully concealed within ductwork as they exited from the ceiling space.
To ensure efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray, directing water to the external gutter. The installation process involved meticulous placement of ducting, branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, achieving seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise the system’s airflow.
A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, providing intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.
Precise Installation of the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW High-Wall Split System Air Conditioning
In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with meticulous attention to detail. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were incorporated to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.
A dedicated electrical circuit was developed from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating efficient drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent extensive commissioning to ensure optimal performance.

With these installations, the property now benefits from zoned ducted heating and cooling on the upper level, enhanced by a dedicated high-wall unit in the downstairs living area. Both Daikin systems were supplied and installed in strict adherence to manufacturer specifications, ensuring that the appropriate electrical circuits and drainage systems were effectively implemented.
