Ducted and Split System Air Conditioning Installation in Tarragindi

Precision Electrical & Air successfully completed a comprehensive air conditioning installation at a residential property in Tarragindi. This project included the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted air conditioning system for the upper level, as well as a Daikin high-wall split system in the living room on the lower level.

Professional Installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW Ducted Air Conditioning System

Precision Electrical & Air expertly installed the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically located within the ceiling space above the void, while the outdoor condenser was securely fixed to the front balcony wall using rubber feet to minimise vibrations. The connection between the indoor and outdoor units was effectively enclosed in ducting as it exited the ceiling space.

To ensure proper drainage, two drainage lines were installed from the indoor unit and its safety tray to the external gutter. A comprehensive ducting system, including branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums, was meticulously set up throughout the ceiling space, all linked to the indoor unit. A return air grille was thoughtfully positioned in the upstairs hallway to promote optimal air circulation and efficiency.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was installed, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, with an NHP isolation switch positioned next to the condenser. a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was fitted in the upstairs hallway, providing enhanced control over the air conditioning system and its zones.

Expert Installation of the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW High-Wall Split System Air Conditioning

In the downstairs living room, we completed the installation of the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system. This process included the installation of new ducting, interconnect cables, and the copper pair coil necessary to link the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser mounted on rubber feet to further minimise vibrations.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the condenser, featuring an NHP isolation switch for added safety. To manage condensation effectively, we installed an Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump beneath the indoor unit, connecting it to the nearest stormwater downpipe. The entire system was thoroughly commissioned to ensure it operates at optimal performance levels.

Summary of Installation Results

This installation has equipped the property with efficient zoned ducted heating and cooling for the upper level, complemented by a dedicated high-wall split system for the downstairs living area. Both Daikin systems were installed in strict accordance with manufacturer specifications, ensuring that all electrical circuits and drainage systems were properly configured and functional.
